The GOP is now the party of fear mongering

Zorek Richards

The GOP is now the party of fear mongering. They spread fear amongst their members and the gullible ones will be subservient. It's how they keep them codependent and "loyal." GOP is NRA bought, and it keeps their members armed. GOP voters are not motivated by God, country, or Constitution. They are motivated by fear and fear alone (usually expressed by hatefulness). Everyone is out to get them one way or another except (of course) the GOP leadership who are going to lead them to the GOP "promised land"....by extracting every nickel and dime they can grift from their fearful devoted goose-stepping minions. Trump didn't start the fire. He just fanned the flames. I think we are, after trying everything else, going to have to send in Yoko Ono to break up these clowns in the House.

The GOP leader told Megyn Kelly this week that "I could have pardon myself. Do you know what? I was given an option to pardon myself. I had a couple of attorneys that said can you do it if you want." But, seriously, why would he think about if he did not know he was doing something illegal?? He's a old-school criminal and not very bright. He incriminates himself in every interview he makes.
Republican Congressman Ronnie Jackson is very confused. Ronny Jackson is a political prisoner in the deep deep state between his ears and his own mind. His mind will not pardon him. Reality has a restraining order against him for abuse. He consistently posts a Bible verse on Sunday Twitter, but spends the rest of the time making all kinds of judgments against anyone who is not pro-Trump. Jackson says "Our country is careening off a cliff and this White House's ONLY concern is locking up their political adversaries. They truly hate this country and its people. We need TRUMP back now more than ever!!". No one in the USA that I know of is being jailed for being on the other side of as political party - Democrat or Republican.
South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem adamantly denied to Megyn Kelly the rumors that she was having an affair with Trump staffer Corey Lewandowski. I think there is eveidence that she has but until then I will not comment. Megyn Kelly is repeating claims that the Obamas secretly run the government because, when your only audience is MAGA, a racist lie always beats the truth.
Donald Trump spoke at the Pray Vote Stand Summitt  and said "The moment I win the election, I will appoint a special task force to rapidly review the cases of every political prisoner who has been unjustly persecuted by Biden.. I want to sign their pardons and commutations on day one." At face value that means there would not be any to pardon becasue Biden has not perecuted or jailed anyone.  This week Putin criticized Trump's arrest, trial: 'Shows the rottenness of the American system. When Putin endorses him, you gotta know fascists endorse other fascists.  Liz Cheney put out a statement: "Putin has now officially endorsed the Putin-wing of the Republican Party. Putin Republicans & their enablers will end up on the ash heap of history. Patriotic Americans in both parties who believe in the values of liberal democracy will make sure of it."

The NRA does not defend the second amendment. They defend the money they make off the fools who think they do defend the second amendment. Their biggest nightmare is not Joe Biden, like they claim. It would be the dues paying members who wake up some day realize the NRA used them as  pawns and for grift.
Texas Congressman Chip Roy said this week on the House floor that “If we're not going to secure the United States of America, we shouldn't fund the government that REFUSES to do so!”...However, that would be at the expense of every citizen in the USA who will be affected by it..and it will touch everyones life (if not directly than indirectly). Congressmen who are over paid anyway and have usually used their position to make extra profit off grift and back room deals...will be unaffected in the short term. But, their wage should be the first thing cancelled and not exempt. I Bet they would be a little more concerned then.
North Carolina Lt Governor Mark Robinson told an audience this week that "It is summer. Soon it will be fall. And it will be winter. After that, it will be spring… That's the only climate change that I believe in… Other Ice Ages that happened, I don't think any dinosaurs were going look there’s an eastern airliner flying over us."   Preachers who preach like that  are dangerous. They generally hold a lot of control over what their congregation believes when they preach outside the gospel. They are commissioned to "Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season.." They are "to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up." Allowing a person to be "built up" is to always plant the seed... and encourage growth in their time. Preaching politics, science etc is like an athiest preaching about the "power of God." It just doesnt work and makes no sense and produces horrible fruit.
Congressman Jim Jordan said thsi week that "It’s scary that Democrat governors think they can suspend the Constitution just because they want to. Republicans won’t ever stop standing up for your Constitutional rights." (He was referring to
New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham when she said she could suspend part of the Constitution in order to save lives...because of major issues with gun deaths.) January 6, 2021 and the way Jordan has handled, or rather, done everything he can to avoid it, makes Jordan a liar.
Sen.
On News Nation this week Ted Cruz tried to debunk the false Democrat claim that there is “no evidence” corroborating the allegations of Biden corruption. “There is a growing mountain of evidence." he declared. But even he didnt say what it was. Ted Cruz affirms everything the GOP does and has for years. Facts are irrelevant. He is wrong a lot. As a former right winger I supported him for President and vioted for him in the Mississippi primary.

Matt Gaetz tweeted this week that "Kevin McCarthy Is a Sad, Pathetic Man Who Lies To Hold Onto Power." What he means is that he does not accept the lies someone else pushes. Lying to Hold onto power is the Republican Party Platform.

Cheap Seat Report: The FBN/WSJ Republican Debate 11.10.15

CNBC has just announced that Hillary Clinton has won tomorrows GOP debate

All the Republicans going into tonights debate all have one bright shared consolation: None of them are David Vitter.

Looks like the new season of "The Voice" is going to get a new viewer tonight. That George Pataki supporter has to do something....

Hillary"s campaign is saying they will not watch the debate and instead are going to be "moving our country forward." They didn't explain what country is hers and where they are gong to move it, though.

Only 35 more days til the next GOP debate

If the first question to all the candidates is "would you sign a pledge to not stab anyone?" then you know Fox Business is gunning for Carson.

"The reason we lose nationally is because we try to be a cheaper version of the Democratic party." --Bobby Jindal

So far Fox Business isn't fueling a cage match between personalities. A debate that stays on topic seems rather bizarre just for not being bizarre.

Christie has deflected a question about himself 3 times now and diverted it toward Hillary twice and Obama once.

If there's a drinking game where you drink every time a candidate says "I'm the only one", then those playing will pass out long before round two on the big stage.

Jindal wants to fire everybody in DC. Personally, I lean more toward a straight out deportation.

Megyn Kelly just blamed the candidates for the Fox News debate kerfuffle. She says she was trying to do it like Fox Business just did it.

FBN pundits are giving the win to Christie for first debate. I have to lean toward Huckabee. Christie avoided directly answering the most questions..followed by Santorum. .

"We need more welders instead of philosophers." --Marco Rubio

Kasich doesn't care who's here if they are already here.

Who cares what the Clinton campaign high fives, Jeb. Hillary high fived her staff after the Benghazi hearing.

WINNER: "We would see stories about the economic calamity" of illegal immigration if journalists' wages were affected" --Ted Cruz

"I want a government so small you can't even see it." --Rand Paul

So far so good: Half way through the debate and Ben Carson hasn't stabbed anyone yet.

"If Republicans join Democrats as the party of amnesty, we will lose" --Ted Cruz

"More words in IRS code than in the Bible." --Ted Cruz
and in may respects they have the same penalties.

"We should vet all candidates. I have no problem with being vetted. What I do have a problem with is being lied about and then putting that out there as truth." --Ben Carson

 Score again:
"If you think defending this country is expensive, try NOT defending it." --Ted Cruz

Trump playing the peacemaker among the candidates?

I think I'm with Trump on this one. (His views on Russia and Putin)

"We shouldn't have another financial crisis".-- Jeb Bush
.
Whats scary is that I think that is the complete Jeb Bush economic plan.

Shorter John Kasich: I would let the government do what it has always been doing. I would just let it do what its always been doing better.

"Thank you for not asking me what I said in the 10th grade" --Ben Carson

Fiorina has already started her "Trump picked on me " media tour. I didn't think she would start on it til tomorrow.

"You can never say something is never going to happen" --John Kasich.
Actually you can: Kasich will never be president.

 Whine of the Night:
"We Can't deport illegals, there are too many of them." --John Kasich

"In the two hours of this -- of this debate, five people have died from drug-related deaths, $100 million has been added to our national debt, 200 babies have been killed by abortionists, and two veterans have taken their lives out of despair. This is a narrative that we can change, not we the Democrats, not we the Republicans, but we the people of America, because there is something special about this nation, and we must embrace it and be proud of it and never give it away for the sake of political correctness." --Ben Carson closing remarks

Over all, I think FBN did a good debate and stayed mostly on target with important issues and not personality driven. A few times I think moderators started to lose control but they reeled it back in and with that many egos on a stage I could see why that would happen.. I thought Cavuto was taking the Bank of America question to Cruz a little personal...but otherwise OK. IMHO

The media needs to get over itself (RE: Trump, Kelly, Ramos and CNN)

My criticism of the "debate" which was moderated by Fox News has not changed since the so-called debate started.

It started with these two posts to Face Book within minutes after the start of the debate:

Followed by this, the next day:

  • I'm still mulling information so I can't name a personal winner (yet), but I think the loser was Fox News..and, in particular Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace. It was hardly a "debate," and any debating that went on happened in spite of the Fox News set up and not because of it. Fox ran it like a press conference and Wallace and Kelly ran it like it was THEIR own show in stead of a supposed debate.

Now, I am not endorsing Donald Trumps twitter war against Megyn Kelly, but I am defending his right to do it. And if you're offended, get over yourself. Free speech is free speech. If I only defend speech I agree with am I really embracing the concept of free speech or just my own self absorbed vanity?

The twitter war was reignited a couple nights ago when Trump again took to twitter to attack Megyn Kelly. It prompted Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes to issue the following:

  • Donald Trump’s surprise and unprovoked attack on Megyn Kelly during her show last night is as unacceptable as it is disturbing. Megyn Kelly represents the very best of American journalism and all of us at FOX News Channel reject the crude and irresponsible attempts to suggest otherwise. I could not be more proud of Megyn for her professionalism and class in the face of all of Mr. Trump’s verbal assaults. Her questioning of Mr. Trump at the debate was tough but fair, and I fully support her as she continues to ask the probing and challenging questions that all presidential candidates may find difficult to answer. Donald Trump rarely apologizes, although in this case, he should. We have never been deterred by politicians or anyone else attacking us for doing our job, much less allowed ourselves to be bullied by anyone and we’re certainly not going to start now. All of our journalists will continue to report in the fair and balanced way that has made FOX News Channel the number one news network in the industry.

I understand the need to defend one of your employees, and perhaps Ailes should be applauded for doing that. But the letter makes it clear that Ailes doesn't know what a  debate is either. So, I guess when it comes to Brett Baier, Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace's performance that the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. The so-called attempt at a "debate" was nothing more than a Fox News presser. Kelly's questions would have fit on her TV show, but it added nothing to anything resembling what a debate should look like.

On a semi-related note, Trump held a news conference yesterday in which he had Univision's Jorge Ramos escorted from his event because Jorge was being rude and talking out of turn. Though Trump took questions (and even eventually from Ramos), the only thing CNN considered news worthy was the clash between Trump and Ramos. CNN pundits, like other media, are quite absorbed with their own self worth. It's a display which best exemplifies the arrogance of the media. The media LOVES to make themselves part of the news maybe even more than reporting the news itself.

The media needs to get over itself. I think the tides are turning and are vented through people like Donald Trump who challenge the stagnation of American politics and political correctness gone rabid. The target that gets less coverage but is all still the same gone stagnant because of its self-absorbed bloviating is the media itself. But why would the ones being reported negatively report themselves as being reported negative?

Donald Trump Report 08.12.15

Most recent polls from Iowa and New Hampshire show Donald Trump at the top

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump came to the home state of the auto industry and attacked Ford Motor Co. for building factories in Mexico. And the Michigan faithful in attendance sided with the bombastic mogul.
“Ford is building a $2.5 billion plant in Mexico,” he roared to a packed auditorium in Birch Run, Michigan, and 2,000 voices responded with lusty boos. “I’ll actually give them a good idea. Why don’t we just let the illegals drive the cars and trucks right into our country?”
The real estate developer and former reality TV star boasted that “President Trump” won’t let Ford move jobs to Mexico and will convince the automaker's Chief Executive Officer Mark Fields to bring jobs back to the United States.

CNN:
Donald Trump said Tuesday that Bernie Sanders "showed that he's weak" by allowing #BlackLivesMatter protesters to take his microphone during a weekend event in Seattle.
And Trump -- the Republican presidential contender who, he said, is attracting the biggest crowds to campaign events along with the Democrat Sanders -- vowed: "Believe me, that's not going to happen to Trump."
"I would never give up my microphone. I thought that was disgusting. That showed such weakness, the way he was taken away by two young women -- the microphone; they just took the whole place over," Trump told reporters during an evening news conference before speaking to a Republican group in Michigan

.In the fallout since the first GOP debate, Fox News chairman Roger Ailes has found himself caught between Donald Trump, who has the full backing of Fox’s misogynist audience, and Megyn Kelly, the star anchor whom Ailes has nurtured and sees as the key to reaching younger viewers. For a few days, Ailes didn’t know how to handle Trump’s full-throated attack on Kelly, who accused Trump of sexism during the debate. Eventually, as I reported yesterday, he made the same choice he always does: follow the ratings, and mend fences with Trump. But that process has meant that Fox has had to mute its defense of Kelly, who is now watching uneasily as the Fox audience turns on her: According to one high-level source, Kelly has told Fox producers that she’s been getting death threats from Trump supporters.

Wall Street Journal:
Donald Trump never skips a chance to remind audiences of his wealth, but he is proving reluctant to spend his own money on campaign essentials typical of a major presidential candidate.
The New York developer has rejected paid television advertising as unnecessary, and he has resisted investing in efforts to secure ballot access, which can be expensive in some states, according to people familiar with his campaign. He also is rejecting appeals from his staff to appear at more in-person events, the people said, building his campaign instead on his ubiquitous cable-TV appearances.
Mr. Trump’s unconventional White House effort is a test of whether a wealthy candidate can flout the rules of political convention and build a durable presidential campaign. Surveys of Iowa and New Hampshire Republicans released Tuesday showed Mr. Trump leading the field, but few people involved in GOP politics believe he will be a top contender for the nomination by the time votes are cast next year.

Michael Savage Blasts Megyn Kelly, Fox News Over Treatment Of Donald Trump

http://www.zoreks.com/megyn-kelly.html
