John Pittman Hey calls for repeal of anti-civil rights 1963 ordinance that criminalizes criticism of the police

John Pittman Hey addressed the Greenwood City Council about the illegal arrest of community activist Jelani Barr. He reviewed the fact that two police officers lied on their reports to justify arresting Barr.

I have blogged for many years on various blogs. But mostly as what I might describe as a right-wing nutjob. That changed when I took a look at reality. Reality and the GOP dont mix well right now. I have left old posts from older days, though they do not reflect where I am now. But you can see the contrast. I read some of them now and I sometimes think "what was I thinking?" But, truth be told, being a right wing nutjob does not require a lot of thinking skills. A lot of parroting and pushing ideas you dont even have to understand. And then getting belligerent when pressed to explain. That's the Rightwing. I know. I was there. -ZR
