MSGOP Continues to Push "Just not Democrat" as an ideology @MSGOP @joenosef

In an email, MSGOP chairman Joe Nosef stated:

  • It’s official. Hillary Clinton is one step closer to the White House — the last place she belongs.
Clinton’s big moment on Thursday night showed that she is a political chameleon who has perfected the art of politics for personal gain. Her negligent speech ironically failed to mention her real record: her email scandal, the uproar over her foundation donors, Benghazi, and the rise of ISIS under her watch, all which reinforce that Hillary Clinton is a security risk our country simply cannot afford. This kind of unethical involvement is only a sneak peak of what we can expect if she becomes president, but with your help, we can stop her.
The Mississippi Republican Party is determined to stand strong against the Democrats and their rigged system. We can stop Hillary from continuing the liberal Obama legacy, but we need your help.
Donald Trump’s path to the White House goes through Mississippi. He is working hard to ensure that Hillary doesn’t hold the keys to the White House…again
Did you catch it?

  •  The Mississippi Republican Party is determined to stand strong against the Democrats and their rigged system.
The MSGOP remains simply to promote anything that's "Hillary." No values...just not Hillary. It's all they have left to focus on. But, then again, they represent what the RNC has become: a populist ideology with fluid convictions.

MSDem & MSGOP Chairman OK w/Moving Prmary to Super Tuesday - OK, But CLOSE Primaries Also

--[c]Zorek Richards

WAPT reports:

  • Mississippi Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann led last year’s measure to move the primary up arguing that the state is losing millions in advertising dollars. It passed in the House, but failed in the Senate. Lt. Gov. Tate Reeves’ office said a lot of senators were worried that the state would be overlooked by presidential candidates if it were grouped with other states in Super Tuesday.
and
  •  Joe Nosef, chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party, said he is open to moving the primary date.
“It may get moved up. I think there are good arguments on both sides,” Nosef said.
“Why not leave it where it is?” 16 WAPT’s Scott Simmons asked.
“Some believe it is better to leave us more isolated, where more people may pay attention to us,” Nosef said.
Mississippi Democratic Party chairman Rickey Cole said the early the better, in terms of more influence.
“Our primary is March 8, which is still among the earliest. There are a lot more states later than we are,” Cole said.

Personally, I guess it doesn't matter to me. I can see the arguments from pro and con sides. What I think is a more important issue is to do away with Mississippi's open primary system.   I personally think an Open Primary should be unconstitutional. Republicans should be the only who pick their candidates and the same with Democrats. If Democrats vote in the Republican primary then have Republicans really actually picked their candidate? And vice versa.

There are, of course, those who would want to keep them open. Those, for the most part, are those who have and/or are using the open primary for their personal purposes. One way would be to help elect a weak candidate because they know their actual candidate of choice could beat them.

If we want every vote to count...let's also try and keep them honest and close all the loopholes that  could lead to a dishonest end. Closing primaries would be a good way to start that.

Disgraceful Democrat Ad Hits MS Homes in the 11th Hour "Jim Hood needs to condemn this. Now"

JACKSON. Just hours before Mississippi voters go to the polls tomorrow, Mississippi Democrats have sent a racially-charged and divisive ad into Mississippi homes. The audio of the ad can be found by clicking here.

"This ad appeals to the lowest common denominator in dirty politics," said Joe Nosef, Chairman of the Mississippi Republican Party. "It is frankly sad to see Mississippi Democrats steep this low. With their continued losses at the polls, it's no secret that Mississippi Democrats have now turned to tactics other than winning elections to bring liberal policies to our state. The level of desperation has apparently gotten so bad that they are resorting to shameful race-baiting in a way that demeans all those exposed to it. The people of Mississippi deserve better than this, and Jim Hood needs to call on his Party to stop this disgraceful ad and apologize for sending this kind of sleeze into people's homes."

Joe Nosef continued, "Thankfully, I am confident that the people to whom the ad was sent will reject it, seeing it for what it truly is: a condescending and demeaning attempt by Democrats to stir up racial passions in order to save their jobs in Jackson."

Freedom From Religion Foundation #FFRF Submits Official Whine to Collins, Mississippi

Because "whine" is what the FFRF does.

A complaint has been filed against the city of Collins calling for the city to remove its religious displays from the city park.
The Freedom From Religion Foundation, a non-profit educational organization and member of Atheist Alliance International, filed a complaint stating that the city's decorations were unconstitutional, and "tremendously unwelcoming to non-Christian citizens."

Y'all Politics' Frank Corder's Claim that MSGOP sought neutrality in 2014 Race is False

Republican Ideologue and Self Proclaimed Mississippi Republican Party Apologist, Frank Corder,  posted a rebuttal to an article written by Keith Plunkett at Mississippi PEP which addressed the MSGOP's purposed ignoring of Republican Senator Ted Cruz'x visit to the state.

Among the many bullet points, Corder wrote:
  • Sen. John McCain was in state in 2014 to support Thad Cochran's reelection campaign. Similarly, Sen. Rick Santorum (who is running for president again as well and actually endorsed McDaniel unlike Cruz), Sarah Palin and others stumped for Chris McDaniel. The party sought neutrality in the race as best as possible, not inserting themselves.
I don't think that has been so, since Joe Nosef is the chairman of the MSGOP:
A couple examples, among others:

http://znotesmississippi.blogspot.com/2014/10/joe-nosef-conservatives-should-support.html

http://znotesmississippi.blogspot.com/2014/06/one-note-about-one-quote-mississippi.html
Note that Nosef's comments were BEFORE the Primary Runoff. There were other issues which included the racist robo-calls, which were admitted to having been done by Henry Barbour, to which the party just suggested that all is fair in elections and war.

Corder also noted that

  • The state party posted a message on Facebook Tuesday evening noting Cruz's visit and the importance of Mississippi's role on the national stage.
But, as a note. Plunkett wrote his article on Aug 10. Sam R Hall at the Clarion ledger wrote his article on Aug 11.  THEN, the MSGOP posted to Facebook later that afternoon. So it's a little hard to believe the MSGOP would have shown any support or even mention the Cruz visit had Plunkett not written his article and then Sam R Hall's article mentioning it. At least not in light of their very active presence in pushing Thad Cochran over McDaniels in 2014.

It will be interesting to see how the MSGOP acts and reacts should Ted Cruz get the nomination over their own darlings, Jeb Bush or Scott Walker.
