The Power (and the weakness) of the Press
Just to underscore how the media prioritizes "news," all the major
stations are reporting that "Four prisoners being released from Iran
including Wapo reporter Jason Rezalan." The other three don't carry the
same weight in their minds so they emphasize that one of their own
were released. In order to get their attention you have to make it about
them somehow. Ted Cruz pointed that out in an early debate on
immigration and it is the method Donald Trump uses almost daily to keep
the press following his every move.
