Just in case we haven't said it enough, our City is grateful for the outpouring of support from law enforcement agencies across the region, state and country. Today at Officer Deen's funeral, we were all overwhelmed with how many different police departments, sheriffs' departments and state law enforcement agencies were represented. From NYC to Chicago to Biloxi, our police department knows it does not bear this burden alone.
We also express gratitude to the area law enforcement agencies that have pitched in to help protect Hattiesburg at different points over the last several days. Thank you for walking with us during a most difficult hour.
