Falling to the noise of the clamor from South Carolina, Sate Rep Philip Gunn has suddenly decided that the Mississippi flag is offensive. Did he just notice the Confederate stripes were on the flag after all these years?

Who was being defined by it? Or is it a confession?
Mississippi voters decided by a 2-to-1 margin in 2001 to keep the state flag used since 1894.
For those who have not been keeping score, After the shootings in Charleston, some pictures of the shooter were found with him holding a Confederate Flag. So, apparently, since the shooter was already in custody and had confessed...some zealots decided they need to blame something so they went after the Confederate Flag. NOT that there's any evidence for any motivation between the flag and the shooter, but, you know, great minds seek solutions....small minds ban flags. South Carolina's leaders have given in to the demands of the noisy minority and now, I guess, South Carolina is now that much safer from problems with racist gunmen (d'oh). Gunn, wanting to appear as the wonderful anti-racism crusader, jumped right on the band wagon and apparently found the latest press outlet to express his concern about being so offended.
