The FBI says it is reviewing the facts surrounding the death of a Neshoba County inmate.
Michael McDougle Sr., 29, died on November 2, 2014 after spending one night in the Neshoba County jail according to the family attorney, Carlos Moore.
Moore says the allegations involve wrongdoing by Philadelphia police officers and Neshoba County jailers.
A statement from the FBI office in Jackson says the agency "is aware of these allegations and is conducting an independent examination of the facts to determine whether a formal investigation is warranted." -WTVA @wtvanewsThe children of Waveland will play on an improved playground when they return to Martin Luther King Park, thanks to The Naval Oceanography Command at Stennis Space Center in Hancock County. Twenty Oceanographers from Stennis and five Navy Seabees from Gulfport combined their man and woman power to make a difference at MLK Park. They painted every building on the grounds as well as the performing arts stage, replaced rotted wood, trimmed trees and bushes and re-mulched all of the flower beds in the park. --WLOX @WLOX

A title to a post this morning about Alisha McElhenney's campaign finance report stated UCF "backed" McElhenney. The UCF issued a press release included in its entirety below and we have included that in its entirety stating that they have in fact not chosen to support McElhenney or any other conservative in the LG race. Although the story was titled incorrectly, the rest of the story is correct. The title has been corrected. For the record, the trial lawyer suit referred to in UCF's response was dismissed multiple times and in multiple courts as being utterly without merit. -Y'all Politics @MSyallpolitics
