Hillary Clinton Declares War on Religious Convictions: "Religious Beliefs Have to Change"

At the Women in the World Summitt last week, she said:

• “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed. As I have said and as I believe, the advancement of the full participation of women and girls in every aspect of their societies is the great unfinished business of the 21st century and not just for women but for everyone — and not just in far away countries but right here in the United States.”

But, apparently finding that her "faith" didn't help her politically, she has now changed her tune. At least for this week anyway.  Back in 2007, however, Hillary defended her Methodist upbringing telling the New York Times: 

•  “My faith has always been primarily personal. It is how I live my life and who I am, and I have tried through my works to demonstrate a level of commitment and compassion that flow from my faith.”

 And just a decade earlier she said, while discussing the issue of abortion:

•  "..Research shows that the primary reason that teenage girls abstain is because of their religious and moral values. We should embrace this—and support programs that reinforce the idea that abstinence at a young age is not just the smart thing to do, it is the right thing to do."
