Hollywood gossip website Perez Hilton reports that "West Hollywood's Widest Gay Bar Denies Entry To Homophobic Lawmakers! Deets HERE!" They report that
"The Abbey...considered by many to be the most popular gay bar in the world, they've announced a new policy."
They report:
"David Cooley, the bar & restaurant's founder, released this statement: “I want to send a message to all those people out there who conflate Christian values with discrimination: we don’t want your kind here… I’ve learned that I can’t stop crazy, ignorant or stupid, but I can stop it from coming through my doors.”
Ironically, if there is a list it is not reported and of the few they allude to there's likely only a one in a million chance that any of them ever planned to go to the bar in the first place (whether it be a gay bar or not). So, at best, it's Hollywood Hyperbole, but another example where discrimination is attempted to be fought by discriminating.
